What happens is that if you run a search
in 6.6, IGB will select everything in the display that matches the search
pattern.
in IGB 6.5.3. What happens there is, If your search returns one or more items, they appear in the list of search results but are not selected in the display window.
In 6.5, if you searched for something, the results of
the search would appear in the search results table. At that point, the
user could review the results and then decide whether or not to navigate to
one of the found items by clicking on a row.

[ No - issue 211 is that the search table shows too many hits coming back from servers. THIS issue involves showing the mapped results on the main image (overlapping the sequences) - as far as I can tell... he might mean something else - but I can't tell... For this issue, go to A. Thal. Set search to residue and select chrC - which is tiny. Enter 'gatc' as your search parameter. It is pretty dense. Now do 'gat'. Even more dense. Now do 'gatc' on one of the real chromosomes like Chr1 - (realize that A thal chr 1 is about the same size as human 22 - relatively small human sized.) notice the density... NOW try 'gat'.... and it all slows down tremendously. Dunno what fix he wants though. I guess I will ask for more details on what exactly the issue is (or how to reproduce it). ] |
