      Description

      1. Load a sample BAM file in IGB. Refer https://wiki.transvar.org/confluence/display/lorainelab/read+sequences+don%27t+appear+in+sliced+view test case for loading a bam file in IGB.

      2. Zoom into any part of display where the character sequence can be seen.

      3. Select any sequence by clicking on it.

      4. Open the "Selection Info" and you would find a name and id for the selected sequence on the screen.

      5. Open the search view and search for the name taken from the selection info with "Matching IDs or names" + "genome".

      6. The search should return a result. Click on the result and see if it takes you to the corresponding sequences on screen in IGB.

Here is a picture of a sample search.

      Testing Results
      Sept 22, 2010 - Alyssa Gulledge

Version 6.3.1 (6884) This seems to work fine. Tried it with the 'sample' BAM file, and had no problem checking several genes.
