1. Relaunch IGB 2. Navigate to H_sapiens_Feb_2009 -> chr1 3. Enter "ALDH1L1" in the Search field 4. The search should return three or more results. If no result is displayed, the test fails. 5. Now enter "ALDH1L1" with leading or trailing white spaces, for eg: "ALDH1L1 " or " ALDH1L1". And this should return the same results. Please add the steps for the below description of the bug: "Lastly, the information that comes back in IGB doesn't show the match to the search term I used, the ID is often the refseq ID, in this case NM_012190, not the gene name ALDH1L1. This is ok when there is only one result but often I'll use wild cards in the search such as ALDH* and lots of results are found, none of which make any sense since all they show is the NM_xxx IDs. I then find myself clicking each link and looking in the browser window to see what the actual gene name is." Sourceforge 3036050 Testing Results: Sept 30, 2010 - Alyssa Gulledge version 6.4 (6969) The addition of the 'Gene Name' column seems to have covered the second complaint. Also, leading or trailing spaces do not seem to matter at all. This looks good. |
