      Subject: IGB heatmap legend

      Dear Ann, Dear IGB team,

I am using the IGB for quite a while and it is really a fantastic program that helps me a lot in visualizing my data. Thanks for that!

However I have a question regarding the heatmap visualization. I am often using the rainbow heatmap feature to visualize ChIP-seq signals of quite a wide range. Is there any possibility to get a legend for the heatmap, i. e. which colour corresponds to which value? When data is e. g. viewed as a line graph, Y-axis values can be shown via checking the correspinding box. Yet in the heatmap mode checking the Y-axis box has no effect. This would be very helpful when generating figures from data visualized via heatmaps in IGB.

      Thanks,
      Claudio

            Hello,

Thank you for getting in touch.
Thank you for the suggestion. I am forwarding your email to the development team.
Mason, can you add this as a new issue in Jira? Also, include in this new feature request the ability to adjust graph color range values using the heat map editor.

            Hello,

Thanks again for contacting us with your question, Claudio! I also think that adding some sort of legend to the heat map may be a useful addition to the feature.

As requested, I have added our conversation into our Support Project in JIRA and have also created IGBF-1103 (Add Legend to the Heat Map) in our JIRA issue-tracking project. We will be sure to discuss this issue during our next sprint planning and will follow-up with you when we have some more news about the addition of this feature.

If you have any more feedback for us, we would love to hear it!

            Thanks again,
