      Dear IGB team

First, thank you for you nice tools.

I would like to use the "color by..." option to color read using a special coloring code. In general i am using the score frature and create a custom heatmap. I would like to be able to save the heatmap options for later use and to pass it easily to colleagues using also IGB, how can I do that ?

            Dear Nicolas,

Thank you for using IGB, we are happy to hear that you are getting good use out of it. As to your question, there is currently not a way to persist and share a custom heatmap configuration for a track. However, this does sound like a nice feature and our development team can consider this feature in a future release.

For now, there are a few things you could do to help your colleague reproduce your visualization. If the file you are visualizing is not a local file you can create "data bookmarks" which will preserve the coordinates and loaded files referenced in your session for quick future access. You can also use the bookmark notes functionality to annotate your bookmarks with the steps to reproduce your visualization.

Once you have created bookmarks you can export them for sharing with colleagues. If your track data is coming from local files, I would recommend moving these files to a file hosting service (e.g. Dropbox) and loading them via url before creating the bookmarks for sharing with others. For more information on the IGB bookmarking system see: http://wiki.transvar.org/confluence/display/igbman/Bookmarks

In addition, if you simply want to share an image of how the tracks appear you can export an image of them. For more information on the image export functionality see:
            https://wiki.transvar.org/confluence/display/igbman/Exporting+images+and+printing

Thank you for continuing to use IGB, please let us know if we can be of any additional help.

            Best regards,

            IGB Team
