Description
If a user enters a search term in the Quick Search box (upper left) but accidentally types a whitespace character, the search fails. Leading or trailing whitespace should be removed when users attempt to locate a gene by name or keyword.

Story
IGBF-109was tested on:*IGB Version: 8.2.0
-(My Office Mac) Mac OS X Version 10.9.3 using JRE version 1.8.0_11-b12 Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server
The story was tested using this workflow:
1) I opened IGB and used the quicksearch box to quickly search for a feature.
2) I added a leading whitespace to the search text and checked to see if the search functioned properly.
3) I added a trailing whitespace to the search text and checked to see if the search functioned properly.
Observed:
All quicksearch scenarios above functioned properly.
