      Description

The genome dashboard shows clickable image shortcuts for all the different genomes in IGB. When users click an image, IGB loads the latest genome for the species depicted in the image.

There are a lot of images and species, and it is fun to scroll through them all to see what IGB has to offer!

However, the current order of images appears somewhat random.

For example, the image for blueberry appears at the very end of the page.

This does not make a lot of sense because "b" is one of the first letters of the alphabet. Also, the scientific name for blueberry - Vaccinium corymbosum, starts with "V", which comes before "Zea mays", common-name corn.

It would be much better if the Genome Dashboard could display images in some kind or order. For example, the images could be sorted by the first letter of either the species common name, e.g., blueberry, or by the species scientific name, e.g., Vaccinium corymbosum.

I think the common name would be better, but either would be fine. Regardless, there needs to be some kind of obvious logic to the image ordering so that users will experience a feeling of order and logic when using the Genome Dashboard.
