Description
When choosing the option "Save Image" while the user is on the homepage of IGB, an error would popup:
This error only occurs when trying to save an image on the homepage of IGB, and it would not appear if the user has a genome loaded on the screen.
If the user loads a genome, then click the "Home" icon to go back to the home page, and then try to save an image, the error would pop up again.
This bug is not present in the latest released version of IGB (9.1.4), which can be downloaded from BioViz.org.
The bug is only present in the current unreleased version of IGB (9.1.6), and can be viewed by either running the master branch of our latest repository on NetBeans or downloading the installer of the unreleased version from BitBucket.
The way I viewed this bug:
- Running the latest master branch on NetBeans and checking for this bug.
- Installing and running IGB from our master.exe installer in the LorainLab repository ( https://bitbucket.org/lorainelab/integrated-genome-browser/downloads/ )
The appropriate behavior of "Save Image" option on the homepage is to take a screen shot of the homepage. This behavior can be seen by downloading IGB from BioViz.org and testing that feature there.
Please see the attached 'error message.txt' file.
