Description
Version Noticed: 8.3.0
While testing issues relating to custom genomes I noticed that a user still has the ability to open 2bit or fasta files even after they have already selected a 2bit or fasta file as the reference sequence.
If the coordinates of the sequence file trying to be opened match the coordinates of the reference sequence (they would have to come from the same genome) then you can see the sequence. Otherwise, after loading the track, all a user will be able to see is a blank track.
This behavior makes sense if you know what is going on, but it might be nice to add a message or something to indicate that "The coordinates of the file you are trying to open do not match the coordinates of the reference sequence. No data will be shown for this track."
