IGB is currently being advertised on multiple platforms, but there's no consistent system in place for who is receiving notifications (if at all) from users on those platforms. Work with Dr. Freese to log in to all of the following platforms (or create an account if none already exist) and ensure that notifications are turned on, comments are turned on, and alerts are being sent to the same email address (igbhelper@gmail.com) for Paige to monitor:

Other related changes that need to be made are as follows:
- Ensure that comments are turned ON for all YouTube videos
- Ensure that YouTube will send us an email when we get comments
- Check for any comments on old videos and answer user questions

- I posted a "test" comment on one of the IGB YouTube videos - check to see that you got an email.
- I apparently don't know how to use Reddit, so my only suggestion is to create a post using IGBHelper along the lines of introducing yourself and saying we are here to answer questions about IGB.
- Double-check that you have email alerts on BioStars set up for "IGB" tags. These were an option in the past, though I don't know that they ever worked. When we do the 10.0.0 release I can create a post that tags IGB and we can see if it works.
- Adding the office hours can be a separate ticket.
- Answering old comments on BioStars/YouTube can be a separate ticket.

YouTube: I received an email notifying me that you commented on one of the YouTube videos, so that is working correctly.
BioStars: I have emails enabled whenever a post is created with any of the following tags:
- IGB
- ProtAnnot
- Integrated-genome-browser
Reddit: I've joined the Slack channel for the bioinformatics subreddit (r/Bioinformatics) and made a post introducing myself there. There are rules in place prohibiting self-promotion and advertising on Reddit which is why I opted not to post in the subreddit itself.
Next steps: I will create two tickets and mark them as related to this ticket: one will be for creating and adding office hours to YouTube and the Google Group, and another for answering old comments/questions on BioStars, YouTube, and Reddit. Then, this ticket should be ready for review.
