Description
Situation: IGB users can use the right-click Filter... option in IGB to filter annotations or reads in a track based on properties such as score. However, there is a bug where if the user selects multiple tracks that already have filters separately and clicks on the Filter... option, it shows only the filters that are associated with the first track, and also if the user adds a new filter and clicks on Ok, then the other tracks filters are overwritten by the selected track filter in addition with the new filter.
Task: Investigate the cause of the issue.
To reproduce the issue:
- Start IGB
- Select the Arabidopsis genome
- Navigate to Chr1:8,673,056-8,677,891
- Load one more track as well from the available ones.
- Right-click on the Araport
track and select Filter... - Add any filter and click OK
- The gene model in the Araport
track should now be hidden - Right-click on the other track and select Filter...
- Add any filter other than the one that was already selected for the other track and click OK
- Now select both the tracks and right click
- select Filter... and observe the filters (only the filter that is added by the first selected track is present)
- Now, add any new filter and click OK
- Now check the filters in both the tracks (the second selected track filters are changed and overwritten with the first selected track filters)
