      Description

      Situation: Paige submitted an abstract titled, "Upcoming version of Integrated Genome Browser will better support visualizing and exploring personal genome sequence data" which was selected for a poster presentation at ASHG 2024.

      Task: Design and print a poster for ASHG 2024. Poster design guidelines from last year's conference can be found here: https://www.ashg.org/meetings/2023meeting/presenters/poster-presentation-guidelines/

            I think you should stick with the original layout for greater visual interest. The "v4" in Paige's folder looks too much like the "v4" in Nowlan's folder. Instead of repeating the same layout, use Paige's original layout.

            Distinguishing the two from each other visually will help people remember and understand the application – the two posters provide two distinct visions of the application and its usefulness, in my opinion!!

            Sometimes repition hurts rather than helps understanding. I think this is an example of that happening

            I've updated the poster to look more like the original version. It still has similar design elements to Nowlan's poster which will help tie them together as both being about IGB, but they are now hopefully distinct enough so as to not be confusing.

            This latest version can be found in Dropbox as version 6!

            Paige and I talked today about the poster and I made some suggestions. I think whatever Paige Kulzer decides will be great.
