I am not super clear on the audience for this meeting, or the organizer. The Web site says it is a not-for-profit organizations based in St. Louis.

There's actually a later deadline we can shoot for: "Call for Late-Breaking Abstracts Opens on October 18, 2024
            Late-Breaking Abstracts Due December 20, 2024"

I suggest we wait to submit an abstract until after the ASHG meeting. That way, we will have an even clearer idea of what we contribute to the field, and our abstract will be even more compelling and interesting.

What do you think Nowlan Freese and Paige Kulzer ?

Nowlan and I just chatted at the office – since it doesn't appear to cost anything to submit an abstract and this one's already drafted, we could plan to submit this abstract tomorrow with myself listed as first author and then plan to submit another abstract after ASHG with Nowlan listed as first author. That's essentially what we ended up doing for ASHG.

Let us know what you think, Ann Loraine!

Let's wait. Once you submit the abstract, it's permanent. No way to edit it later. And we might want to, given that we're about to get a lot of really cool feedback and information about how our work is received by the human genetics community.

We have a lot of really great conference we can attend. It is fine to wait, I think!

Moving this ticket to the backlogs for now – let's revisit this after ASHG as recommended by Dr. Loraine.
