Situation: As part of IGBF-3960, I've created a PowerPoint document with multiple screen captures showing my research on all the possible Galaxy-to-IGB scenarios a user might face. This is a good starting point for creating a storyboard showing the workflow users follow in these different scenarios. Hopefully this will highlight how to improve the workflow and reduce the number of failed interactions we think users are having.
Task: Create a more formal storyboard showing a Galaxy-to-IGB workflow with a naive user. Steps to follow might include:
- Find a naive user to test with.
- Open usegalaxy.org and provide the user with a data file(s) saved to the computer.
- Instruct the user to load that data into Galaxy and then visualize it in IGB.
- Record their screen and use that recording to storyboard.
- While recording, take notes of their experience, including moments where they were confused or stuck.
