$37,000/year stipend for 3 years
$16,000/year cost of education allowance for 3 years
Additional opportunities for a total of 5 years
To motivate and assist graduate students to pursue this fantastic opportunity, the Graduate School’s LaunchPad to Funding: NSF GRFP offers $1,000* to students who are selected for the program, complete training, and apply for the NSF GRFP by NSF’s deadline.
The application components are:
Certification that you have completed no more than one year of graduate studies.
A narrative that provides an overview of your current research and past research, professional goals, and reason you want to be a scientist or engineer (2-3 pages).
A letter from your faculty advisor expressing support and agreeing to prepare a letter of recommendation explaining your intellectual merits and broader impacts.
Your CV.
If selected, you will receive $1,000* after you:
Meet with our Faculty Fellow expert in preparing amazing NSF GRFP applications, Dr. Adam Reitzel.
Submit your application to the NSF by the deadline (deadlines are in October).
Upload proof of your submission in our application system.
Submitted to the University application portal! Now we wait! I modified essay to Dr. Reid's and Dr. Freese's feedback.
