Deleting mismatch track impossible

I created a mismatch track from a BAM track that was set on "Auto Load" Load mode. I decided next to delete it. So I right-clicked on the mismatch track label and selected the option "Delete." The track then disappeared, but later re-appeared after I loaded more reads. Thus there does not appear to be a way to permanently get rid of mismatch track once it is created.
