      Subject: [genoviz:discussion] saving session state

Hi, I want to compare a largish set of bedgraph files (/-) which I arrange so that all minus strands are at the bottom; the reference genes ( annotation files) are in the middle and the plus strands at the top. I have customized the names of the tracks.
When I save a session and reload it, the prepared track-order has gone and has to be reinstated. And all the tracks (genome/manual) have to be reloaded ('as genome') by hand in the Data Access tab again. In other words my 'tracks'-layout does not seem to be saved and reinstating the 'state' before I saved the session takes a lot of time. What do I miss that I cannot save the state of the program exactly as I left it?
All files I need are saved locally and I have set-up a Quick-load folder to access the reference files.

Thank you for getting in touch.
Currently, the session saving feature stores the names of the tracks, any color configurations you've made, the graph scale, and the data you've loaded, but it doesn't save the ordering of the tracks from top to bottom.
This is definitely an inconvenience! So we are considering upgrading the session saving feature for the 8.2 release (November) or possibly an 8.3 release (January or February.)
Thank you again for getting in touch - your comments helps us prioritize new features and improvements to IGB.
