IGB not running message displayed in AppStore even if IGB is running

          Description

          Steps to reproduce:
          a. Close IGB. Go to https://testappstore.bioviz.org and click on an app.
          b. Start IGB
          c. Refresh the website. It still shows the message "IGB is not running".
          The version of IGB needs to be latest and IGB should not be updated but rather needs to be reinstalled completely. Please verify/fix this behavior.

          "IGB not running" feature is only running on Chrome, not on Firefox and Internet Explorer.

                The issue was with CORS Policy on different browsers, It works perfectly with Chrome but not with Firefox.

                Firefox basically needs a Credential Based Request which was missing in the previous version of the code.

                Clarification:

                Do you mean: Update the app itself or update IGB?

                (App = pluggable App they are trying to install)
                (IGB = Integrated Genome Browser version running on their deskotp)

                Sorry for the wrong usage of words:

                1. Detecting the Older IGB Desktop Application version and asking the user to update the same with a link in the notification.

                Update the Desktop Application i.e. IGB and I have also added a link to Bioviz Download page in the Info Message.
