Description
Situation: For the paper, we need an example set of data that is available to all CyVerse users. This will allow anyone reading the paper to follow along with the examples for loading data into IGB for visualization.
Task: Create a Community Data folder and move the RNA-Seq heat/drought stress Arabidopsis aligned data (SRP220157 ) into the folder. See the CyVerse instructions for additional details.
CyVerse admins created a Community Data folder for us named BioViz (/iplant/home/shared/BioViz). Dr. Loraine and Dr. Freese are both owners of the folder. I specified metadata for the folder as per the CyVerse instructions . Note that the metadata can be changed as needed later, but CyVerse suggests limiting the number and frequency of changes as it could confuse any users of the folder. I kept the metadata relatively vague, as we may be adding additional data/folders in the future. I moved the heat/drought stress data (SRP220157 ) into the BioViz folder, maintaining the Quickload structure. I was able to add the data as a quickload in IGB, and load files successfully.
