Description
The wiki site contains much obsolete content, which is confusing for people trying to use the site. Often, it is not clear what content can be safely ignored, and which content is important and needs to be maintained and updated.
Adding Neomorphic Annotation Station User's Guide to IGB "docs" directory. Annotation Station preceded IGB. We developed IGB to handle larger data sets and functional genomics data sets. Annotation Station was mainly a manual gene model curation tool and a visualization tool.
It contains a "gene translation panel" for users to interactively assign open reading frames to gene models. It also included manual annotation features for building gene models. Researchers at the Institute for Genomic Research used it to annotate the first versions of the Arabidopsis genome, under direction of Chris Town - https://www.arabidopsis.org/entity/person_detail/4670.
