Description
This task focuses on testing the newest version of the Quickload Saver app, which lets a user save out a quickload site for the genome version they are currently viewing in IGB.
The IGB Quickload Saver App repository is here: https://bitbucket.org/lorainelab/quickload-saver/src/master/
To test the App:
- Install the App from the "downloads" section of the app repository (see bitbucket pipelines documentation for App Store)
- Open the most recent Arabidopsis genome version (June 2009) in IGB because it has the highest number of data files available for visualization out of all the different genomes we have
- Select a data set and change its color and other properties (make a note of what you did)
- Save a quickload site for this genome
- Reset IGB to default settings (this also quits IGB) - IMPORTANT
Restart IGB and then:
- De-activate off all the quickload sites (to avoid confusing existing quickload site data with the saved quickload site you are testing)
- Add the newly saved quickload site to the list of available quickload sites
- Open the Arabidopsis genome
- Check that you can load data files
- Check that when you load the data file you loaded before, it uses the same colors and properties you selected before
Also perform other exploratory testing once you have an idea of what the App is doing.
