      Description

IGB Apps would be a better UI option for SAMtags. This ticket is a exploration of that possibility.

We talked about this in the office Friday and developed some theories about what may be going on. I will follow up and report back here.

UCSC GenArk App app has a UI that can be repurposed for SAMtags Filter and Color by.

Filter by Score app suggests that IGB Operations API can be used to trigger the filter function. However, I am not sure if the app itself is complete. It has one file that does not really trigger the track filter operation but adds a option in the filter dropdown which the user can choose in the Filter window. Please see image attached to see what I mean by filter dropdown

In order for a SAMtag app to work, we may have to create an API for what happens after hitting the OK button(see image) and passing the user entered data to that API which may be difficult to implement.
