This sounds like a great idea - a way to speed up the process of analysis and exploration.

Probably David has already done this, but just in case not: I'm emailing Mason with my reply to ensure this gets added to Jira.

This seems like something we could include as part of the new IGB APIs - a "navigation" API that lets developers trigger movement to new locations and scales based on data or user preference.

I will be sure to add this issue to Jira today and will send you guys the link to the story when I do.

I am curious to know how you guys imagine the feature may work. I imagine that the user will have to specify the minimum size for a peak and then IGB can navigate to each peak that has a value greater than or equal to the minimum value when the Peak Navigator button is clicked. If you guys think this is what you want or if you have any additional details for planning the feature, let me know and I will include them in the Jira story.

I have created IGBF-1113 in Jira to track the Peak Navigation feature request. Whenever someone has additional details on how the feature is expected to work, feel free to add it to the comments in the Jira story, or you can also simply e-mail me and I will make sure it gets added to the story.

Sorry for coming back late on this feature,

Basically when working with ChIP-seq we visualize the results of the peak calling, which have been generated with MACS2 and exported (and imported in IGB) in bed format, so there is no need to further filter the peaks.

I wanted to also let you know that I have added your last comment about the peak navigation feature to the story in JIRA. I actually moved the story to a newer project that we have started which is currently hidden unless you have a login. I assume the team's plan is to make the project visible to the public once we get a little further with development. In the meantime, let me know if you have any additional feature requests for the peak navigation feature and I will make sure they get added to the story.
