      Description

Situation: As we have completed all of the current in-scope functionality for BioViz Connect, once the final bug issues are completed we will have a code freeze in order to test that all of the various features in BioViz Connect are working correctly.

      Testing Tasks:

      1) Navigate through files folders in home/shared/community.

      2) Check that back/forward/refresh browser buttons are working while navigating.

      3) Check that column sorting (Name, Last Modified, Size) is working for files/folders in home/shared/community.

      4) Check that Manage Link is working for files/folders in home/shared/community.

4*) Check that Create/Remove public link button is working.

      5) Check that MetaData is working for files/folders in home/shared/community.

5*) Check that Genome Version, IGB Track Color, IGB Track Name are all saved and sent to IGB when user clicks View in IGB.

      6) Make sure View in IGB button visible on correct files in home/shared/community.

      7) Run analyses for IGB Bedtools Genome Coverage and IGB DeepTools BamCoverage on files in home/shared/community.

7*) Run analyses for IGB Dreme Motif Finder in home (48v37_summits.fasta).

      8) Check that analyses status and correct name are present in the analyses log.

      9) Check that analyses complete successfully by viewing output in IGB.

      10) Check that all buttons, links, tooltips, toast notifications work and appear correctly.

      11) Try to break things.

In MetaData right panel, put a line break in the comments section (between two pieces of text, for example), and see if it saves correctly. I'm getting some weird results.
-Created IGBF-2476 to address the metadata issue.

Also double-check that if you have the metadata panel open, click on a separate file, that any changes to the metadata get saved correctly.
-Not worried about this issue as if a user clicks outside of the right-panel they may be trying to cancel their changes.

Bug where I'm in Community folder, but BioViz Connect thinks I'm in the Home directory.

I was in the Community folder [ here | https://connect.bioviz.org/base/#/iplant/home/shared/BioViz/rnaseq/A_thaliana_Jun_2009/SRP220157/reads], but was then logged out after 16 hours. I signed out, then signed back in. Then used the back button on my browser to return [ here | https://connect.bioviz.org/base/#/iplant/home/shared/BioViz/rnaseq/A_thaliana_Jun_2009/SRP220157/reads]. Now BioViz Connect thinks I'm in the home directory. This breaks the breadcrumbs. (attached screenshot)
-This issue should be fixed by the changes made to automatic logout after 16 hours in IGBF-2299.

Nowlan Freese - is the issue mentioned in the previous comment still a problem? If not, could we close this ticket or maybe migrate the testing protocol to another location in our infrastructure? (Perhaps a Google Doc dedicated to testing BioViz Connect?)
