Description
Situation: The External View tab does not appear to be working in IGB release 9.1.6 or 9.1.8:
External View for UCSC is working as recently as 9.1.4. This issue may be related to changes to DAS (IGBF-2473 and IGBF-2474).
External View for Ensembl does not appear to be working in 9.1.4.
Task: Fix the External View tab.
To reproduce the issue:
Open IGB.
Select the mouse genome (M_musculus_Dec_2011).
Navigate to chr1:87,262,042-87,313,112
Select the External View tab.
Select UCSC
Click update
If working, UCSC gene models will appear.
If not working, the following statement will be present: "An external view is not available for this genome. If you have questions, please contact the IGB team."
